Of course there is faith in the world – faith in this world – and always will be, unless superstition succeeds in every land. The faith of the intelligent man is a reasonable conclusion drawn from the known. He has faith in the development of the brain, in the gradual enlightenment of the mind. He has faith in the progress of the human race, in the triumph of intelligence, in the coming sovereignty of science. And so he works for the accomplishment of great ends, having faith in the final victory of humanity.
